On Leather Wings

Night is still young when the master of the house returns from his intended task. Alfred is a stalwart figure as always, awaiting his return. From just beyond the rotating platform, the butler watches the canopy of the enormous automobile slide to the rear and reveal its driver. The expression on Master Bruce's face is not one of disappointment nor does it seem wholeheartedly pleased. Alfred recognizes thoughtful contemplation behind the cowl.

"I take it Dr. Langstrom has been safely returned to his family."

Rewatch: On Leather Wings

Batman: The Animated Series has been a part of our household since my children were small and I'm so glad it was a part of their lives. To this day, my 18 year old daughter identifies the series as her "happy place". At the end of a long day, she sits down to watch reruns and it puts her in such a good mood. I've watched the episodes so many times now myself that I've lost track of the order and scope so it's been a pleasure to have an excuse to start again from the beginning.

My favorite lines are still:

Alfred: "You mean it WASN'T you tossing guards out windows last night?"

Bruce: "I only toss butlers, Alfred."
